Walking El Camino and Waiting at the Makaha 
Might miss the first few days since we are taking a sailboat trip into the canadian gulf islands but Ill catch up when we get home. Can’t wait to follow you! A friend here on the island just finished up a 78 day bike ride and nearly 4500 miles across the country. For him it was just as much about the people he met along the way as it was the miles he rode. I love the idea of the pace of walking-there is so much to interact with-sights, smells, feeling the earth beneath your feet and the ability to talk with others.

What an impressive first day! It had to be physically demanding but the newness and spectacular beauty must have masked any sensation of tiredness. Looking forward to future blogs but don’t worry if you can’t send one every day. I’m not sure I could! Tim
